Primavara is a small Cornish charity working with a partner charity 'Primavara Copiilor Bihor'.

With the help of volunteers and paid Romanian workers, we have set up a small home in Valea Crisului, Bratca, Bihor, for up to six abandoned or orphaned children from state institutions.

For the last few years we have supported three abandoned children who attend Scoala Ajutatoare, Popesti, Bihor, providing foster care in the home, with Romanian foster parents in all the school holidays.

These teenagers are now ready to move on and we have bought an apartment for them. This means that the home in Valea Crisului will be ready to take up to six small children as soon as the authorities have agreed.

We also are starting an appeal for one of the boys, who has cerebral palsy, to come to England in order to have an operation.
We are attempting to raise £10,000 for hospital costs and aftercare. The surgeon will waive his fee and the hospital will charge half its normal fee.

The charity is run entirely by volunteers.
The project is financed by income from our charity shop and by donations.
We need volunteers to help fund raise, to work in our charity shop in Penryn and possibly to help care for children in Romania.

We also need funding for the continued running costs of the children's home.
