This Christian Camp is situated in a country district in the Harghita mountains of Romania. It mainly consists of timber framed buildings, and is gradually being developed over the years, as funds allow. The nearest railway station is at the town of Miercurea Ciuc.

In the last few years mains electricity has been connected, replacing the welding trailer generator previously in use. A trunk gas main passes nearby the site, and after a long delay work a connection has been made . The possibility of heating the buildings during the winter allows greater potential useage of the facilities. The gas bill is generously sponsored by a Trust supporter in the UK.

At Cleaford
Each summer about 1500 children and young people attend the camp, for visits of 9 days. The gospel is preached, the Bible is taught, and they have fellowship and fun. Children become used to praying and singing together. For the first time in 1995 there were English language classes, which were appreciated by many of the young people, and these have followed on subsequent years. For many it is an opportunity to be away from living in a city flat, and a chance to mix with others, Christian or not, of the same age.
Some places are offered to children from orphanages and from deprived homes. The children are charged the equivalent of £10 for the stay, although the true cost is nearer £20. Funds are needed to subsidise visits by children from poor families, orphanages, or where the parents cannot afford to pay for several children from the same family.
The Trust has been asked to help with cash to subsidise the staff wages (which are very modest), and in some years has been able to obtain cash grants from UK based charity funds to cover these needs.
